- Display or set the mailbox 'attended' flag. This is used to
- announce in the mailbox whether or not the sysop is present and
- willing to chat (via the mailbox 'operator' command).

- mbox expert [on|off] Default: off

- Display or set the level expected of a mailbox user.

- When set to 'on', the user gets a short prompt.

- When set to 'off', a long prompt is sent with the first letter
- of each mailbox command as prompt. The user can then set Xpert
- mode to get the short prompt.

- Display or set the home address field to be included in the R:

- mbox jumpstart [on|off] Default: off
- _________________________________________________________________
- Display or set the mailbox jumpstart code. When set to 'on' and
- a "known" node connects to the mailbox, no extra line needs to be
- send to activate the mailbox and the prompt is sent directly.

- Warning: When set to 'on', it takes a while to hear all nodes and
- an AX.25 connect could have a wrong start as there is no wait for
- a level 3 protocol check. In particular, RSPF in virtual mode
- could cause serious problems.

- Forces the forwarding of mail without waiting for the forwarding
- timeout to expire. (See the 'mbox timer' command below).

- The operator command shows or sets an alternative address for the
- control operator.

- When set and 'mbox attend' is 'off' or the user is "shelled out"
- and an mbox user requests a Operator command, the ttylink session
- is redirected to the IP address specified.

- Otherwise it works as before, in that the mbox user gets an
- "Unattended" message.

- If the system pointed to by <ip_address> has also set its
- 'attended' flag to off, then the user gets an "Unattended"
- message, this time generated by the remote station.
-
- This is a "flaky" way of having an "attended unattended" system.

- mbox password "<password_string>"
- _________________________________________________________________
- Set a password string to challenge remote sysops attempting to
- use the local Session Manager with the NOS BBS '@' command.
-
- The <password_string> may be up to 30 characters. The first
- character is character zero.
-
- Remote users must have the sysop permission (64) in /ftpusers.
-
- When a remote user gives the '@' command, the BBS replies with a
- series of 5 numbers. The remote user must respond with the
- corresponding characters in <password_string>. If the response
- is correct, the user gains access to the Session Manager.
-
- To fool anyone who may be snooping on the channel, the user may
- enter several 5-character responses (each response on a separate
- line). If one of the responses is successful, the user gains
- access to the Session Manager.
-
- The end of response input is signalled with an empty line.
-
- Setting of the password can only been done at the system console
- or in the /autoexec.nos startup file. The password can not be
- displayed.
-

- Display or set the offset you are according to Zulu time.
- Positive and negative numbers are supported and full leap year
- and month calculation are done. This is used by the mailbox
- forwarding to give a standard time in the R: line.
